Theme of message: Unity, Spiritual Warfare, Fellowship, Prayer

My personal prayer for today’s message is: Lord, help me to find others that believe in you to have fellowship with. Let us come together in unity in You that you might teach us what we need to learn to fight the enemy. Prepare my heart, mind, and spirit for all that you wish to teach me.

How does this message apply to me? I need to acknowledge that there is strength in numbers when Godly people come together. I need to be open to meet others that God may have me fellowship with. Applicable Scriptures

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”

(Psalm 133:1)

“I, therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-2)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.” (Ephesians 1:7-10)

“And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.” (John 17:11)

“Again, I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19)

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13-14)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (Ephesians 6:10-18)

“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

(James 4:7)

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10)

What has God spoken to you through this message? The importance of fellowship with other believers in prayer and unity. God desires for us to be united in Him. I have a responsibility in thwarting the plans of the enemy in my life. I need to submit to God, resist the devil, be prepared for battle, and put on the armor of God.

How can you use this message to show God’s unconditional love to others? By asking God to help me exhibit His love in all circumstances. God’s word sets the precedence for all things. We need to live according to the principles He has set forth.
