Theme of message: Availability, Servanthood, God’s Will

My personal prayer for today’s message is: God, I pray that I would be available to go where you want me to go and to minister to those you want to touch through me. Keep my feet on the path that you have designed for my life. Let me hear your voice and direction for my life. - Amen

How does this message apply to me?

I need to go where God is sending me. I need to use the gifts he has given me to serve others. I need to make sure that I am reading His word constantly. I need to rely on the Holy Spirit to give me the words to speak at the appropriate time. God can use me in different ways–through in person encounters with people and through online forums.

Applicable scriptures.

“By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” (Hebrews 11:3)

“But he answered, It is written, “‘M

an shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4)

“And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, ‘This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,’” (Hebrews 10:15-16)

“So, neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.” (1 Corinthians 3:7-8)

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;

therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38)

What has God spoken to you through this message?

To think about how Jesus conducted himself while he lived on this earth. He used his hands for healing and touching others. He used his voice to speak about God’s truth and bring salvation to the lost. He used his feet to travel to where God led him.

I have begun to think about what God’s voice. He created all things with a spoken word. His words are life to the body and the soul. He speaks to people to give them commands to help bring about his plans.

We can use prayer to be God’s voice and to help bring his plans to fruition.

How can you apply this message to your life?

That according to Hebrews 10:15-16 that God has written his laws in my heart and mind. I can have confidence that as I continue to follow him and study his word that his Holy Spirit will use me for his purposes. I know that I need to be available and ask the Lord to use me. I understand the importance of God’s words and how they bring life. It is these words I need to speak to myself and others. How can you use this message to show God’s unconditional love to others? I have to be available to be used by God with the gifts and talents he has given me. It does not matter whether I am one to sow, one to water, or one to reap as each task is important for the growth of another.

What have you have learned through this message and scriptures?

I am not responsible for God’s words and what they accomplish. I am only responsible for sharing them when he prompts me to.

Notes and Additional Thoughts

It does not matter what I don’t have. I need to believe that God can use what I do have for his glory.
